Enjoyable Toy This toy has been very fun for my 11 month old. He loves the animals and the sounds they make. It also educates with all the clever fun facts. This is a very enjoyable toy!
This toy has it all This toy is a big winner for the toddler in your life. I recently bought it for my 14 month old niece and she adores it. She is a little young to understand the silly songs it sings, but she loves that it starts to sing as soon as she snaps two animals halves in! (And I have to say that I like the songs myself! )It is a toy that she will enjoy over the next couple of years. It is very durable. All of the pieces do hook to the back of the toy for storage, but the magnets aren't strong enough to hold them on very well. That being its only flaw that I can see, I would strongly recommend that you purchase this for your 1-3 year old.
Still going (sort of) after 4 years!! I bought this toy for my daughter 4 years ago. She is now 5 and still plays with it! The magnetic puzzle board doesn't always work correctly anymore, but she doesn't seem to mind. I'd say for a well used, well loved, dropped countless times this toy is an excellent value. I am going to purchase another one for my adopted nephew who is one.

Classic toy continues to entertain I recently bought this toy for my two year old daughters. They love it!!! It took them a little while to figure out how it worked, but as soon as they did, they started playing with it all the time. They can entertain themselves for quite awhile. It was a very good value.
Thank you Mr. Potato Head! Mr. Potato Head just potty trained my 3 year old! After much discussion with her about using the potty, we finally found the trick for her! Each time she went she got to put a piece on her new Mr. Potato head and by the time she was half done with the pieces she was potty trained. I doubt Mr. Potato Head has had such a heroic review.

Was great for the 10 minutes it worked! My 5 year old got this for her birthday. It worked great for the first 10 minutes in the water. After we took it out and dried it off, it never worked again. I am going to take it back and see what the second one does. When I called MGA entertainment, they said to try a different brand of batteries.

great concept, hard to use I bought this for my 2 year old son who loves helmets and police motorcycles. He loved it instantly. The problem? The helmet did not fit his head no matter how we tightened it. We ended up using the inside padding of a bike helmet so that it might fit him. But it still needs the chin strap done or it falls off, and it is not a comfortable strap. Also, the microphone side is so much heavier than the other side that the helmet is usually at a tilt on his head, even with the chin strap done. The handlebars work very infrequently. At first I thought it was the batteries, and replacing them helped the first time, but now even that does not work. I am very disappointed with this product.
Hey kids lets go play in the street Really? Tells kids to " Set up a road block!" Who is the genius who came up with this? So what happens when some kid goes out and sets up a road block. When you make a toy for kids who have to hold their parents hand to cross the street maybe this is not the best idea.
Fun toy! I purchased this for my grandaughter and was a bit hesitant because I assumed it would be more enjoyable for little boys. But I was wrong, she loves it. It really gave her a chance to enjoy playing the role and use her imagination of being a police officer. She especially loved the microphone feature in which she could hear her voice over the speaker on the helmet. Great product for boys and girls!

Great toy!! My three year old loves this helment!! He has the police helment and he loves it! My 8 month old loves it too because the lights go off on the helment and she just laughs. He plays with it all day. Even my seven year old plays with him. It is a great gift!
FUN! My 3 year old loves anything that has to do with cars, trucks, police etc... We bought the police version of this and although the helmet seems a bit big on him he loves the interactive play. The best part is the microphone that when he pushes the talk button on the handheld device lets his voice be heard through the helmet. It seems very sturdy and he likes pushing the buttons to make the siren noises and the intereactive buttons that let the officers communicate with him.

A great gift I had gotten this for my daughters 7th birthday, she was always finding bits of paper around the house and trying to write stories on them. She absolutely loved the gift. I had her start writing the story out on regular paper and then I helped her get it going when she was done. I made sure to count all her words and after we got the story down on the papers I told her that all she needed to do was draw a picture of what was happening in the story on that page. She did a great job. I finished filling out the paperwork and sent it in. I received an e-mail letting me know that they had gotten the story and that her book would soon be here. When she got the book she said was very pleased with how her book turned out. There were no miss spelled words and the pictures looked great! It looks absolutely beautiful, she brought it to school and everywhere. I plan on getting another illustory for her this year as well.
On the topic of miss spelled words...there is a box that you can check to have them keep the spelling the way it was written (in the case that your kid wrote it out and spelled something in a very unique manner and you wanted to keep it that way forever!)
Not just for kids! For my daughter's first birthday, I wrote and illustrated a story for her about the day she was born. I'm no artist, mind you, but she loves it. (If you want to, I believe you can use the computer to make very simple sticker-like illustrations instead of drawing.) It was especially meaningful to her when her baby sister was born this last year. I am buying a new one for the little sister as well. I think it's a terrific idea for making a personalized keepsake FOR your child or grandchild.
The only drawback, you do have to be a little creative regarding the words per page limit.
Great item and worth every penny. This is such a great item and worth every penny. We'd love to do these every year and get duplicate copies for our families. This is a great way to capture the different stages of creativity in your children - and rewarding to them when they see their story "published" in a real book. Highly recommended for all ages!

Sorry, Not All It's Cracked Up To Be Our 10 year-old used his money, after saving for a period of time, for the Nerf Vulcan. The commercial did a perfect job hooking him, and from an adult viewpoint it certainly looked awesome. We got the bulky box home, unpacked everything,and his expectations were shattered in less than two minutes. The ammo belt kept jamming. A call to the company got us a response of "this can and will happen." We carefully packed all components back in the box, returned to the store, and exchanged it as was suggested. Take two yielded the same results. Back to the box store, this time for a refund. He's quite disappointed as he has a number of Nerf gun type products and was really looking forward to the fun factor others seem to get out of it. We certainly envy those who state they've had no difficulties.
Best Nerf gun yet! This gun is very cool! My son got it and he loves it! He plays with it for hours and he loves playing against friends and siblings in what they call "nerf wars". It annoys me with all the bullets around my house and I recommend getting the value pack, with extra bullets and the shoulder strap. But I highly recommend getting it. I even find it a little entertaining!

My CHRISTmas gift this year I can't wait to give this "SceneIt?Seinfeld" game to all my friends, especially my boss at work who LOVES Seinfeld."I can't wait to play myself to see if I know this show like I think I do.Everytime we talk about a certain show,I seem to know which episode its from,but this game really test you.
More for the casual fan... I agree with the reviewers who say this a bit underwhelming. I know it just can't just be me, cause this is a show with so many die hard followers who can quote word for word. I mean the only hard questions are the ones about the random actors and their careers aside from Seinfeld... but even when I got a hard one I guessed and got it right. I didn't miss a question when I played.
Let me give you an example, they have a game where it plays a scene and bleeps out a word that you have to guess - they used a clip from The Soup Nazi episode and bleeped out Elaine saying "Soup Nazi".
I give it 3 stars because I love anything Seinfeld related. But if my girlfriend or I played anyone they would not have fun because we would be too good. And the generic Seinfeld bass music is annoying. Couldn't they get the actual song?
FUN ONCE WE UNDERSTOOD THE DIRECTIONS, WE HAD A GREAT TIME WITH THIS. ANY SEINFELD FAN WOULD LIKE IT. THE ONLY QUESTIONS WE DID NOT LIKE WERE PERTAINING TO REAL NAMES OF GUEST ACTORS, DIRECTORS, ETC. OTHERWISE FUN QUESTIONS. CAN BE PLAYED WITH 2 TO 4 OR A BIG GROUP.

A wonderful gift for any child! I have 2 sons ages 2 1/2 and 4 who both adore Elmo! I got the Elmo doll for my youngest last year and he has played with it so much he broke it. It has been his favorite toy! We went to Toys R Us and played with this doll after I had ordered it,and he could not stop laughing! This one is sure to please any little toddler this Christmas!
Waste of money and annoying My mother in law purchased this for my 21 month old son and within 3 days it's already having issues. The leg no longer moves, it just makes a clicking sound like it's not engaging. Several other parts have slowly started to stop working, all within 2 weeks of opening.
It's also incredibly annoying. No volume control combined with a pretty loud "voice" is enough to send someone over the edge.
Elmo Live My husband and I went ga-ga over this toy last weekend in Target. We walked away once but found ourselves back in front of him again, listening, watching in amazment! AND he only say one thing until you take him home, and watch out! He's so entertaining and I'm 34. We got it for our niece for Xmas. I immediately took him out of the box when we got home and played with him for an hour. Buy this one, you WON"T BE SORRY!

Fun Toy I bought this for my 11-yr old nephew. It was a big hit. These are impossible to find in stores right now. It was great to be able to just go online and order what I wanted. Amazon takes a lot of the pressure out of being a great aunt!
My son is crazy for this toy All my 8 year old son wanted for his birthday is Bakugan. All the stores in my area were sold out. I was very pleased when I was able to order it online. He was extremely happy when he opened his present! It's the hottest thing at his school and all he has talked about for months. My only complaint would be the price... seems high for what it is.
My 9 yr old loves it. My nine year old son loves these toys. He used to only play with Pokemon stuff but now he only plays with these toys. He can't wait to get more. The only learning value of this toy is the imagination value. They seem to be pretty durable eventhough they don't appear so at first glance.

Better than the picture! This board was a huge hit with my son. Smooth ride. Love the design. It has gotten many hours of use, and I've even tried it! Great board, and would definitely recommend.
Notes for new buyers [UPDATED Nov. 08] I've been riding a StreetSurfing's Wave for a month, and I'm really having a great time with it. I thought to share my experience in some areas that new buyers may find useful.
Wave vs. Ripstik: I chose Wave over Ripstik because I heard that it's easier to learn. The claim was supposedly based on Wave's wider deck plate and shorter caster height. I tried my friend's Ripstik, and my conclusion is that it does not matter which. They are both good and easy to learn.
Having said that, there are noticeable differences in riding feels more than cosmetic. I felt that Ripstik was a bit more responsive, perhaps faster too. But it could be the ground surface or the wheel condition that made me feel that way. I liked the narrower deck plate on Ripstik, as it felt easier to position my feet. But I am very happy with the Wave, and these differences won't make me switch to Ripstik.
Wheel tread wear: My rear wheel lost its tread about 1/16 to 1/8" after a month. The front wheel lost less than 1/16". I weigh 180lb, and used the board on sidewalks and blacktops for about 30 hours so far (1 hour/day for 30 days). Lately I've been practicing some tricks and rough riding, so it may have contributed to the rear wheel wear more than the front.
New wheels have pointy tread so the initial tread loss could occur in a matter of days. But after the tread flattens a bit, the loss seems to slow down, at least in my case. I don't know how much tread loss would affect the ride, but the way it's going, I don't think that I need to change them soon. I'm actually more concerned about wheel bearings and caster trucks as I may have to re-condition or replace them to keep them nice and smooth.
*** UPDATE - Nov. 10, 2008 *** I finally changed the wheels after 2 months. When the wheel loses more than 1/8" in tread, it catches tiny pebbles on the ground so often that it is difficult to maneuver the board. You'll notice this as the wheel (especially the rear) flattens. In my case, when the rear wheel lost 1/8", I switched the front and rear wheels as the front had lost only 1/16" at that time. After a few weeks though, I had to replace them both with new ones. So according to my usage, the wheels have 60 hours of life cycle (1 hour/day for 60 days). *** End of UPDATE ***
Exercise value: My heart rate doesn't go up much even on up hills, so I can't say that it's a great aerobic exercise. I feel that my sense of balance has improved. My lower body (hips, knees, ankles) seem to be a bit more flexible now than before I started caster boarding.
I did have one big discovery. The mechanics of generating power to drive the caster board are similar to the ones to throw punches correctly. I discovered this when I was struggling to drive the board on the first day. When I recognize the effective body moves, it became easier for me to drive it. I heard somewhere that the origin of caster boards comes from martial arts training tools. Whether it is true or not, I do see a connection between the two.
Ripple and Ripster for kids: I saw a 6-year-old comfortably riding the Ripster one day. He told me that he started with Ripstik but he had trouble riding it, so he got the smaller board, i.e. Ripster. If a child is below 4 feet and weighs less than 50lb, Wave may be too big, too heavy. I'd consider Ripster or Ripple instead.
Protection gears to learn fast: I highly recommend wearing a helmet, knee/elbow pads, and gloves/wrist guard when you first try to ride the board. They give you protection of course, but also the sense of security that allows you to overcome your fear. Once you get on the board a few times, you will quickly realize that it is not as hard as you think. Some people who tried my board without protection gears seemed to be too fearful of falling to actually get themselves on board in a proper manner. Subsequently they gave up quickly, saying it was too hard.
You don't need to be young, fit or coordinated to ride a caster board. Enjoy!
Super!! Great fun for all ages! The wave board is a little difficult to get the hang of at first, but is great fun! Was for my daughter (16) but I plan on using it when she's at school.... (heh heh heh) The board is beautiful too!
